Sally J. Naish, Principal

We offer a full range of landscape design and installation services and will adapt the process to suit the client’s needs.

Our Design Process

1. ConsultationRockGdnSprng

A 2-hour visit to your home provides the opportunity for us to get to know each other, to discuss your needs and budget, and then to walk the property, sharing ideas and possibilities.

2. Development of the Design

We meet for an in-depth discussion of ways to make the desired changes while remaining within your budget. This information, together with that from a site inventory and analysis, is then used to develop concept drawings, and one or more preliminary layouts.

3. Preliminary Layout Review

At this next meeting we confirm that all the necessary structural components, such as walls and patios, have been included in the preliminary layout and are located in the most functional manner for your purposes.  We also talk about potential building materials, such as different types of stone for hardscaping, and your preferred plant materials.

4. Final Landscaping Plan Review

A final plan and plant list are presented and discussed; usually only minor changes might be required at this stage, which completes the design process.

Our Installation Process

1. Hardscape Plan

Prepared when appropriate, this plan, together with the Landscaping Plan, provides the information required by our contractor to prepare a proposal that defines the cost of each aspect of the installation.

2. Plant Sourcing and Purchase

We source the plants from various nurseries and provide a comprehensive cost estimate.

3. Sourcing of Design Elements

We can also help with the design and sourcing of elements such as arbors, trellises, urns and birdbaths.

4. Installation Oversight

We make frequent visits to your property during the installation process and remain on call to address unforeseen events and questions.

5. Planting

We set out the plants in accordance with the landscaping plan, making appropriate adjustments, as we see fit.  They are then planted by our contractor using organic methods.
