Remodeling

The woodland setting of this remodeled home prompted the use of mostly native plants in the redesign of the foundation beds.

After completely remodeling the front of the house, a new stone walkway was installed.

A mix of evergreen and deciduous shrubs and trees are planted in a wide curving border, fronted by a swathe of English ivy, a favorite of the clients. A granite block barrier helps to keep the ivy in bounds and facilitates maintenance.

A matching stone landing expands the family entrance.

A specimen tree and hardy perennials and groundcover now grace the entrance.

A lone Umbrella Pine remains after construction.

Plants are chosen for four seasons of interest.
