About Light & Shade Garden Design

about-LSGDAt Light & Shade Garden Design, we offer a range of services from a consultation with the home-gardener to development and installation of a design for an entire property. We are comfortable designing all manner of spaces: patios, walkways, driveways, terraces, outdoor rooms and play areas, vegetable, shade and entry gardens. Our goal is always to work in collaboration, not competition, with the natural environment. After careful analysis of existing conditions we select site-appropriate, and therefore lower-maintenance, materials and plantings to protect and enhance the natural diversity of the property.

We adopt a collaborative approach in our relationship with our clients too. Turning dreams into reality requires sensitivity to our clients’ needs and an understanding of their vision. Listening is key; close communication and regular feedback ensure that our interpretation matches client expectations, bringing pleasure to their daily life and value to their property.
